How to Play:
- Prepare some slips of different human emotions beforehand like – happy, sad, anger, funny, pain, embarrassed, silly etc.

Who Am I?

How to Play:
- Start some party music.
- Make all the kids sit in a circle or line
- The game starts with the birthday boy/ girl telling his/ her name will a small gesture or any dance step.
- The second kid will come forward and repeat the first child’s name (birthday boy/ girl) and gesture made by him/ her.
- After this he/ she will tell his/ her name followed by her own gesture or dance step.
- The next kids will do the same. Telling the names of the earlier two kids, then gestures made by them and finally his/ her own name & gesture.
- All the kids will have to make a unique gesture, no copying!

Last Bite!

Materials Required:
- A chocolate bar.
- A pair of gloves.
- A cap.
- A dad’s tie.
- A sheet of wrapping paper.
- A fork & knife.
- A plate.
- A dice.
How to Play:
- Wrap the chocolate bar several times with the wrapping paper and keep it at the centre of a table on a plate.
- All the kids stand around the table.
- Kids will start rolling the dice one by one.
- The kid who first gets the SIX will wear the “Choco-Gear” (Gloves, Tie & Cap.
- The game pauses for the moment and the dice will not be rolled till the kid is ready with the “Choco-Gear”.
- As soon as the kid is finished with this and goes for the next step (i.e. unwrap the chocolate or touch the fork & knife) the dice rolling among the rest of the kids will restart.
- As soon as another kid gets a SIX on the dice, he/ she will have to shout “My Bite” and the kid in the “Choco-Gear” has to stop instantly.
- The new player will now don the “Choco-Gear” and will continue from where the earlier one had left.
- He will attempt to eat the chocolate until the next kid rolls a SIX.
- This way the kid who takes the last bite of the chocolate WINS!!!
My Tip :
- To make this kid birthday party game faster do not pause the dice rolling at any stage of the game. Let the kids be on their toes.
Cutie Puppy
Age Group: 4 to 8 years
Game Objective: A birthday party game for kids in which you have to Control their smile.

Materials Required:
- Nothing except your willingness to make the kids happy!
How to Play:
- Make all the kids sit around the room in a circle.
- Start with the birthday child and let him/ her be the Cutie Puppy.
- The Cutie Puppy will sit on his knees and crawl to every kid one by one making funny expressions and puppy gestures.
- Every child must pat Cutie Puppy’s head twice and say “Cutie Puppy where were you” without laughing.
- The first kid to laugh at the Cutie Puppy will become the new Cutie Puppy.

- This is a nice little game that can be played without any adult supervision. While the kids are busy and warming up for the party you get some extra time to wind-up the party set up or prepare for the next activity.
Wink Mystery
Age Group: 8 to 12 years
Game Objective: A kids birthday party game in which kids have to identify the Murderer in the party.
Game Learning: Alertness
No. of Players: 7-10
Materials Required:
How to Play:
- Count the total number of players.
- Make exactly the same number of paper slips as the number of players.
- Label one slip as “Killer”, one as “Cop” & remaining as “Party Guest”.
- Make the kids sit in a circle.
- Appoint a “Party Host”. (it can be yourself, who is not playing the game)
- ”Party Host” will keep all the slips with her and the kids will come to her one by one and take out one slip for themselves.
- The kids will have to reveal their roles (Killer, Cop or Party Guest) to the “Party Host” privately and go back to take their respective seats.
- The “Cop” will now stand up to declare “I am the Cop” and sit at the centre of the circle.
- The game begins… The “Killer” has to make an eye contact with the “Party Guest” and then “Wink” at him/ her, thus killing him/ her without getting noticed by the other “Party Guests”, especially the “Cop”.
- ”Killer” has to murder as many “Party Guests” as he can without getting caught by the “Cop”.
- The “Party Guest” killed by the “Killer” have to put their heads down and thus eliminated.
- If a “Party Guest” has identified the “Killer” then he/ she can help the “Cop” by making eye gestures only.
- The Cop will get only a couple of chances to correctly identify the “Killer”.
My Tip :
- A very interesting Birthday Party game for kids. Playing cards can also be used instead if slips to identify the roles. Ace – for “Assassin”, King – for “Detective” & 1 to 10 – for “Targets”.
Red Letter Box
Age Group: 4 to 12 years
Game Objective: A kids birthday party game where kids have to return to the base without getting tagged.
Game Learning: Alphabets, Spelling & Lots of fun!
No. of Players: up to 10 players
Materials Required:
How to Play:
- This game has to be played in a open space, preferably outdoor.
- Choose a “It” among the kids or start with the Birthday kid as “It”.
- Draw a Start line and a Finish line with at least 20 yards gap between the two.
- ”It” will play the role of “Red Letter Box” and will stand behind the Finish line.
- Rest of the kids will play the role of “Red Letter” and will stand behind the Start line.
- Kids will rhyme “Letter Box…Letter Box…Post us Home!”
- “It” will reply “Come to me when I call your name!”
- ”It” will now call out any alphabet, for e.g. “Red Letter D”.
- The kids on the other end will respond by taking as many forward steps as the number of times that alphabet comes in his/ her name.
- For e.g. if the alphabet is “E” and the kids name is “Archie Andrews”, then the kid has to take 2 steps towards “It”.
- Every time the “Red Letter Box” calls out an alphabet the “Red Letters” will come closer to him step by step.
- As soon a kid/ kids touches the Finish line all the kids will have to run back to the Start line without getting tagged by the chasing “It”.
- The kid who is tagged by the “It” before crossing the Start line will become the next “Red Letter Box”
Game Variation :
- A variation of this game is “Sinking Ship” in which the “Crew” will ask “How much time is left Captain?” If “Captain” replies 4 hours, all the kids will take 4 steps OR jumps towards him. The kid to reach the “captain” first WINS!!!

- This Birthday Party game for kids can be played as a regular outdoor games as well.
Haunted Corner
Age Group: 3 to 12 years
Game Objective: The objective of this fun kids birthday party game is to be the last person standing.
Game Learning: Just Fun!
No. of Players: More the better
Materials Required:
- A large room with all the four corners clear.
How to Play:
- Give some cool name to the four corners of the room. Like – Spiderman, Hulk, Batman, and Superman (if you are hosting a Super Hero theme party).
- Choose a “It” among the kids or start with the Birthday kid as “It”.
- ”It” will close his eyes and counts to 20.
- In the meantime all the kids will hurdle towards their favorite corners.
- Keeping his/ her eyes closed “It” will call out a corner. Say – “Haunted Corner Superman”.
- Kids standing at that corner will be eliminated.
- ”It” will start counting to 20 again, the remaining kids will redistribute themselves to the corners and “It” will again call out another Haunted Corner of his choice keeping his eyes closed.
- This goes on till only 4 kids are left.
- Now these 4 kids have to compulsorily take different corners.
- Ultimately, only one kid will be left standing and he/ she is the winner!!!
My Tip :
- This Birthday Party game for kids is also a very good camp game. Four trees can be earmarked as corners or even kids tents can be used for this purpose. Nothing can beat the giggles of kids cuddling in a tent.
Corner-Corner

Materials Required:
- Your own front lawn or backyard.
How to Play:
- Choose an “It”.
- Rest of the 4 kids will position themselves at 4 different corners.
- ”It” will stand at the centre.
- The kids will try to exchange their position moving from one corner to another without letting “It” occupy any vacant corner in the transition.
- If “It” gets to occupy any corner then the player stranded in between will become the new “It”.

Dolphins
Age Group: 4 to 8 years
Game Objective: The objective of this fun kids birthday party game is to finish the Donuts like a Dolphin!

Materials Required:
- Some colorful choco-chip Donuts.
- A roll of strong string.
- Scissors.
How to Play:
- Tie a long piece of string between two poles, hooks, or other points
- Line children up beneath the string.
- For each child, cut a piece of string that is long enough to run from the piece of string above him to about even with his mouth (this cannot be done in advance as the children will differ in height).
- Tie one end of each child's piece of string to the long string above.
- Tie a Donut to the dangling end of each child's string.
- Instruct children to keep their hands behind their back and that on "Go" to start eating their Donut jumping like a Dolphin – whoever finishes their Donut first – without using hands WINS!!!
My Tip :
- This Birthday Party game for kids can be made more interesting by using Lolly Ice Cream bar (Ice cream with a stick) like Wall’s Twister or Feast in place of Donuts. Its real fun to see Li’l kids licking and biting the Ice candy quickly to win the game!
Call the Detective
Age Group: 8 to 12 years
Game Objective: In this birthday party game for kids detective has to catch the culprit.
Game Learning: Just Fun!
No. of Players: All the kids in the party.
Materials Required:
How to Play:
- Choose a Detective.
- Send him to another room for some time.
- Select a petty crime like “Who has spoilt the birthday cake?
- Choose a kid to be the culprit.
- Every child will think of an excuse that he will put up when interrogated by the detective. For e.g. “I was packing the gifts”
- Only the culprit will think of 2 excuses, similar enough to be confusing. For e.g. “I was cooking dinner for the kids” and “I was cooking food for the kids”.
- When everyone is ready with their excuse rhyme “Detective…detective…who has spoilt the birthday cake”.
- The detective will come into the room hearing this.
- He will interrogate the kids’ one by one “What were you doing at that time?”
- Detective can ask this question only 2 times from a kid.
- All the kids except the culprit must repeat their statement exactly the same both the times, when asked.
- The culprit must tell a lie and change his/ her excuse when asked the second time.
- If the detective identifies the culprit correctly then, both will swap their roles and the game start afresh.
My Tip :
- This Birthday Party game for kids has no real winner but it keeps the kids engrossed for 3-4 rounds. Try it!
